EP advice EOTAS
Currently looking for EOTAS for a child, in the LASEN training I've noted down that LA should ask the EP service for their views. The parent I'm working with is not happy with LA EP and seeking private assessment - do I still use LA EP whilst waiting for private EP?

Naomi, that is a good outcome. I have just had an ABA case where parental lawyer will only allow LA EP and OT to observe rather than assess, citing alleged risk of stress from over-assessment. LA will not see private assessments until day of FE deadline I expect and they will probably all insist on ABA. I have immediately put in an application for a direction to test their argument. Fact child at home makes me more anxious that LA should independently visit. Very fact specific, these calls.
