Translation of Bundles
Hi there, I'm hoping colleagues can help. I am involved in a First Tier Tribunal appear where the parent is Polish. Are we the LA under an obligation to translate the entire bundle? The SEND35 application form does ask if the applicant requires a signer or interpreter to support them at the hearing, but there’s no mention about translating the entire hearing bundle. Does anyone have experience of this, and if so what approach did you take? I am aware of the decision in Z (A Child) [2017] EWCA Civ 157 which related to family proceedings, where the LA had to fund the translation of documents they served on parents, but haven't been able to fund any guidance re bundles in SENDIST.
